“It is with deep sorrow that we have learned of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Balmoral yesterday, aged 96 years.
On behalf of March Town Council and the people of March we send our condolences at the death of our beloved Queen to King Charles III and the Royal Family.
We share our immense grief, a sadness that resonates around the globe, but also our overwhelming pride and gratitude for her remarkable and unwavering service and inspirational 70-year long reign.
We now enter a period of mourning to honour Her Majesty who represented duty, grace, love, faith and devotion, as well as stability during troubled times.
Our thoughts and prayers are with King Charles III and family at this sad time, a defining moment in modern history and all of our lives.
The Union Flag is flown at half-mast at March Town Hall and will remain at half-mast until the morning after Her Majesty’s funeral.”
