Demand for allotments has varied considerably from year to year. Currently demand is high, there are over 55 names on the waiting list. An allotment becomes available when a tenant decides to give up their tenancy or when a plot is no longer cultivated and the Town Council terminates the tenancy.

The plot is then offered to the next person on the waiting list.

Plots vary in size and rents are paid in advance annually. If you are interested in an allotment please contact us: 01354 653709 or sally@marchtowncouncil.gov.uk.

Allotments are overseen and inspected by Councillors regularly.

Decisions will be made and tenancies terminated if an allotment is not being cultivated or in poor condition.

There are the current rules and regulations when taking on a tenancy agreement;
